Andrea Jacqueline Leadsom has been elected as the Member of Parliament for the South Northamptonshire constituency, following the General Election held on Thursday, 12 December 2019.

Northamptonshire County Council's Draft Budget 2020/21

Northamptonshire County Council is now consulting on its draft Budget for 2020/21. The draft budget agreed by Cabinet on 12th November 2019 is likely to be the County Council's final budget and lays the foundations for the transition to two new unitary authorities from April 2021. This draft budget continues the work of last year to stabilize the County Council's finances.

Government lays unitary legislation before Parliament

The document, known as the Northamptonshire Structural Changes Order 2019 (SCO), sets out how the two new unitary authorities will be formed to replace the existing eight councils on 1 April 2021.
