This incident has been reported by a resident 'We had visitors yesterday,(Monday) knocking on our door asking to buy our landrover. They sent a child to knock on the door and ask while they sat in a van at the top of our driveway. Obviously we are now doing what we can to secure everything we have as we feel we were being checked out as they were trying to look behind our gates.'

Northamptonshire Police are appealing for information regarding a theft of items from a Mercedes vehicle parked at the Denton Village Surgery in Orchard Lane where unknown offenders have forced entry to the vehicle and have taken items from within.
This happened between the hours of 14.00 and 15.45 on the afternoon of Friday the 3rd January 2020.

There has been a theft of a vehicle from St Peters Way, Cogenhoe whereby suspect(s) have stolen a silver Volkswagen Transporter van from a driveway.

There has been a report of criminal damage and the attempted theft of farm equipment on Parkhill Road, Castle Ashby. Suspect(s) may have entered from the direction of Grendon in a vehicle.

Northamptonshire County Council is now consulting on its draft Budget for 2020/21. The draft budget agreed by Cabinet on 12th November 2019 is likely to be the County Council's final budget and lays the foundations for the transition to two new unitary authorities from April 2021. This draft budget continues the work of last year to stabilize the County Council's finances.

The document, known as the Northamptonshire Structural Changes Order 2019 (SCO), sets out how the two new unitary authorities will be formed to replace the existing eight councils on 1 April 2021.
