Educated to O level GCE. Then Army Education first class in the REME. Trained as an engineer in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical engineers in Bordon in Hampshire

Occupation/Career

Retired builder. Worked in and around Northampton for the past 24 years. Responsible for many extensions and purpose built properties in the area. Before that was the proprietor of a small motor engineering business in Kettering for nine years

Personal circumstances

Born in 1946, Married with a Son, a Daughter and two Granddaughters all whom live in Cogenhoe

Background

Born in Kettering. Came to Cogenhoe via The Mill Caravan Park, where We had a very happy nine years. We liked the village so much we moved here. First buying a house in Church St, then in Station Rd. Finally building a house in Whalley Grove.

Interests

Enjoy shooting, Clay pigeons etc. Play bowls with my wife at theCogenhoe club Enjoy Spain, speak the language to a point.

Why I joined the Council

I wanted to contribute something to the village especially in the planning area. I also wanted a say in the day to day running of the village.
