Education

I was brought up in Lancashire where I attended Nelson Grammar school

Occupation/Career

I trained as a nurse, district nurse and health visitor at Hammersmith hospital and Surrey university. Following a move to Northampton I worked as a health visitor before becoming a lecturer at Northampton College. I became course tutor on the Btec and the NNEB nursery nurse courses.
Until I retired I was a teaching assistant at Cogenhoe Primary school. Because of my background my main concerns are health and education issues

Personal circumstances

I have lived in Cogenhoe since 1988, am married to John and have 3 children now in their twenties. Strangely enough they are all working in hospitals or schools
